Best Pest Pic competition is back for PPC Live 2025

COMPETITION

BPCA is once again looking for the best pest photograph and is offering a £500 prize for anyone who captures the perfect image of public health pest control.

The competition is now officially open. All you need to do is either:

Tag us on Facebook @Britishpestcontrol

Send us an image on Threads @british_pest_control

Tag us on Instagram @british_pest_control

And don't forget to use the hashtag #BestPestPic2025.

The photograph can be of any public health pest or a pest management professional in action, helping to protect people from infestations. The winner will be announced at our industry event PPC Live 2025.

The shortlist and winners

The entries will be shortlisted and the top 10 best pest photographs of the year will be on display around the PPC Live 2025 exhibition hall, which takes place on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at the Yorkshire Event Centre.

The winning photograph will be picked by a panel of leading experts and members of the BPCA team.

Closing date is 3.45pm, 16 February 2025.

Rules

  • You must only submit your own photograph
  • The picture must be taken in the UK
  • The photograph must contain a public health pest or a picture of pest professionals protecting people through pest management
  • You must submit the photo via social media (X, Threads or Facebook) with the hashtag #BestPestPic2025
  • The images must not contain any blood, gore or be of an animal in distress
  • You may submit up to ten images
  • You must be able to send us a high-resolution version of the image if you’re shortlisted.

Terms and conditions

This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except for employees of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), their families or anyone else associated with this competition.

All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions.

It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Image files must be 200 dpi and between 1MB and 3MB.

All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.

By submitting a photograph, you agree BPCA may have unlimited use of the photograph for any promotional activity in print or digitally.

You may enter a maximum of ten photographs for consideration. Any photographs submitted after that will not be considered.

The prize can be collected at PPC Live 2025 (Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at the Yorkshire Event Centre) after the winner is selected. If you cannot make the event and you are shortlisted, BPCA will endeavour to make sure you get your prize money should your photograph be selected.
